In this hands-on session, we’ll explore how to build balanced, nutrient-dense meals using common pantry items such as canned beans, rice, pasta, canned vegetables, broth, spices, nut butters, and shelf-stable grains. Participants will learn how to combine these ingredients with fresh or frozen foods to maximize flavor, stretch their grocery budget, and reduce food waste.

Baking with Sourdough 4/23/26

Discover the timeless craft and health benefits of sourdough baking in this hands-on, beginner-friendly cooking class! In this interactive session, participants will learn the fundamentals of creating and maintaining a sourdough starter, understanding natural fermentation, and baking a beautiful, crusty loaf from scratch. We will cover the science behind sourdough, including how yeast works, the importance of hydration, proper kneading and stretch-and-fold techniques, bulk fermentation, shaping, scoring, and baking methods. In addition, participants will also learn about the many health benefits of sourdough, including gut health, lower blood sugar, nutrient absorption, and whole grains.
